A quick thought for your marriage this week

Before it gets busy in December...

Hey lovers,

How's it going? ☺️

Last fortnight, a bunch of you jumped on our early waitlist. Loved the response. But before we open the course in early December, we wanted to share something to help you feel more connected this week.

This is the time of year that begins to stretch every couple.

Even the healthiest marriages feel the effects of the end-of-year craziness.
Work somehow ramps up, the calendar gets even fuller, and the connection between you slowly slips into the background without either of you choosing it.

If that’s been your experience lately, here’s a small reset you can use today:

Ask your spouse two simple questions tonight:
“What’s one thing you’ve been carrying this week that I might not have noticed?”
"How can I support you better in the week ahead?"

Then just listen.
Lean in.
Don't try to fix.

Ask questions if you want to understand them better. Most couples don’t realise how much closeness comes from simply giving each other space to be heard.

It’s a small thing, but small things are how connection grows again.

Over the past few months, Beck and I have been working on something to help couples rebuild their closeness in a really practical, down-to-earth way. We’re almost ready to share it with you.

More on that in early December.

But for now, take a minute tonight to lean in gently.
You might be surprised how far one or two good questions can go.

Darren & Beck
